The Powderhorn Guest Ranch offers fly fishing adventures in the spectacular San Juan mountains of Southwest Colorado.

Spectacular fly fishing, accommodations at a premier, authentic Western Dude and Guest Ranch resort and gourmet western meals all promise to make this a “must trip” for any fly fisher!

Fishing 2003 & Beyond

Millennium fishing on Colorado’s best dry fly, wild trout small water! The Powderhorn offers a premier fly fishing adventure and expert, personalized instruction. Your regular adventure packet rate covers one fishing clinic during the week (we provide the gear) and fishing on the Cebolla! Additional nominal fees cover advanced fly fishing clinics and specialty fishing adventures.

The Fly Fishing

The Powderhorn Guest Ranch is located on Cebolla Creek and provides of a mile of private access to this legendary stream. Cebolla Creek is arguably Colorado’s finest dry-fly stream and holds wild brown trout, rainbows, cutthroats and brookies, some up to 20 inches in length! You will have expert guide service and instruction for three days. Your first day will be right on the Ranch fishing the Cebolla! The second day will be on the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, one of Colorado’s most productive and wild rivers! The third day you will be guided into Colorado’s backcountry to experience some of Colorado’s best wild trout fishing!

The Accommodations

Enjoy six nights in your own, original log cabin at the secluded, first class Powderhorn Guest Ranch where top-notch western hospitality is the standard! The cabins are well appointed and carpeted, and include a refrigerator and coffee maker. The Powderhorn Ranch is surrounded by 1.4 million acres of National Forests and BLM and backs up to over 64,000 acres of Primitive Wilderness. The Ranch is located in Colorado’ most breathtaking wilderness and provides access to areas of unparalleled Rocky Mountain Scenery.

The Gourmet Meals

Each meal at the Powderhorn Ranch is prepared by a celebrated Chef or and experienced Ranch Cook.

The Activities

When you tire of fly fishing (if that is possible!) the capable Powderhorn Ranch Staff will keep you entertained with a multitude of adventures to include guided horse back riding, guided Jeep tours, Cookouts, square dancing and other fantastic western entertainment!
